Gretna…....Ruth Seay Dalton, age 90, of Gretna died on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Gretna Health and Rehab Center.

Born on October 20, 1928 in Shelby, North Carolina she was a daughter of the late Cash Seay and Cordie Kanipe Seay. She was predeceased by her husband, Howard Delano Dalton; and two brothers, Robert Seay and Harold Seay. Mrs. Dalton was a member at Summersett Baptist Church and retired from Altavista Loan Co. She enjoyed church activities, flowers, fishing, dancing and spending time with family.

She is survived by a son, Keith Dalton and wife, Robin of Gretna; one daughter, Shelby Dalton and husband, Barry of Hurt; three brothers, Bennie Seay of Rustburg, James Seay of Lynchburg and Jessie Seay of Rustburg; six sisters, Ruby East of Rustburg, Helen Walthall of Gladys, Virginia Inge of Concord, Gloria Hight of Lynchburg, Jeanette Creasy of Lynchburg and Eleanor Anderson of Rustburg; three sisters-in-law, Frances Farthing of Danville, Ann Dalton of Gretna and Rachel Seay of Altavista; four grandchildren, Nicole Nance and husband, James, Nathan Dalton and wife, Adrienne, Bryan Dalton and wife, Julie and Drake Dalton and wife, Lindsey; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at Summersett Baptist Church by Rev. Jason Andrews and Rev. Heath Lloyd. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2019 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of her son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Robin Dalton.
