Gretna……….Rosa Lee Young Lesner Lilly, age 84 of Gretna died Friday, May 5, 2023 at Gretna Health and Rehab Center.

Born May 5, 1939 in Ronceverte, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Oris Edgar Young and Martha Chapman Young. She was predeceased by her first husband, John M. Lesner, Jr.; her second husband, Samuel A. Lilly; a brother-in-law, Rev. William David "Bill" Lilly; and a nephew, David Lilly. Mrs. Lilly was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gretna where she sang in the choir and enjoyed doing other church activities. She was a member of the Charleston Junior Woman's Club; and she loved to sing and travel.

She is survived by her niece, Jennifer Swart and husband, Mark of Altavista; one sister, Phyllis Lilly of Gretna; one great-niece, Jessica Godfrey and husband, Ian; and three great-nephews, William Lilly, Mark Swart, Jr. and wife, Tami and Allen Swart and wife, Tori.

Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden by Rev. Bob Ballance.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the First Baptist Church of Gretna, P.O. Box 339, Gretna, VA 24557 or to the charity of your choice.
