Gretna…..Ronald (Ronnie) Ray Moss, age 74 of 2297 Rockford School Road, Gretna died Thursday, October 6, 2011 at Autumn Care in Altavista.
Born April 20, 1937 in Pittsylvania County, he was a son of the late Bernard Ray Moss and Carrie Myrtle Pigg Moss. He was predeceased by two brothers, Hartwell Moss, and Dan Moss. Mr. Moss retired from Klopman after forty years, and also enjoyed working part time at Peoples Save Station. He enjoyed taking care of his yard, gardening, chopping wood, time spent outdoors, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Myrtle Yeatts Moss of the residence; one daughter, Debbie Moss Clay of Gretna; one brother, Curtis "Randy" Moss of Hurt; one sister, Betty Amos of Gretna; and two grandchildren, Ethan Clay of Gretna, and Emily Clay of Gretna.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by the Rev. Dr. Lynn Marstin. Burial will follow in Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Friday October 7, 2011 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home, Gretna, and other times will be at the residence.
