Hurt……..Roger Owen Robertson, age 66 of Hurt died, Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Lynchburg General Hospital.
Born March 19, 1950 in Pittsylvania County, he was a son of the late John Richard Robertson, Sr. and Corine Cox Robertson. He was predeceased by four brothers, John Richard Robertson, Jr., James Garland Robertson, Francis "Duck" Robertson, and Al Robertson; and three sisters, Joyce Reynolds, Mary Robertson, and Margaret Rowland. Mr. Robertson was a farmer and an industrial electrician for Klopman and the Lane Co. Roger was a member at Spring Road Baptist Church. He enjoyed traveling and fishing.
He is survived by one son, Jason Robertson of Greensboro, NC; one brother, Oscar Robertson and wife, Elisabeth of Hurt; and one sister, Inez Keen and husband, William of Hurt.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Linwood Cook and Ronnie Simpson. Burial will follow in the Robertson Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11:00
