Lynch Station.……Roger Wayne Cox, age 67 of Lynch Station entered his heavenly home on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at his residence.

Born April 18, 1957 in Campbell County, he was a son of the late George Thomas Cox, Jr. and Ruby Newman Cox Mattox.  He was predeceased by two brothers, Frank Cox and Terry Cox; and three sisters, Mary Francis Wood, Paula Wood and Rachel Lloyd.  Roger was a mechanic with Cox's  Repair Shop for 40 years. He enjoyed hunting, farming, collecting guns, restoring old Ford trucks and spending time with "his boys."

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Brenda "Bren" Cox of the residence; two sons, Tommy Cox and wife, Ashley of Hurt and Toby Cox and fiancée, Julia of Lynch Station; four brothers, Robert Cox of Hurt, Willie Cox and wife, Josephine of Evington, Danny Cox of Huddleston and Roy Mattox and wife, Danielle of Madison Heights; three grandchildren, Dakota, Drake and Mason; close friends, Eddie Shields and Mike Tyree; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Jason Andrews and Brother Wayne Draughn.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
