Hurt………Roger Lee Conner, age 70 of Hurt, died Sunday, January 15, 2023 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born October 21, 1952 in Natural Bridge, Virginia, he was a son of Bernice Tolley Conner of Altavista and the late Wiley Glasier Conner.  Mr. Conner was a member of Altavista Church of Christ and he was a self-employed tractor trailer driver.  He loved his mother dearly; and also loved watching western movies, cleaning his car, Elvis Presley and country music.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Tammy English Conner of the residence; two sons, Adam Conner and wife Ruthann of Monroe, and Nicholas Conner and wife, Samantha of Henry; one daughter, Holly Conner of Altavista; two brothers, Jerry Conner and wife, Dee of Florida and Gregory Conner and wife, Jill of Roanoke; three sisters, Gloria Pickral and husband, Timmy of Gretna, Patsy Robertson and husband, Morris of Hurt and Teresa McBride of Rustburg; four grandchildren, Darren Conner, Tyler Conner, Kaylee Conner and Chelsey Tyree; and three great-grandchildren, Raelynn Conner, Wyatt Conner and Paisley Uttley.

Memorial services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2023 at Motley Baptist Church by Pastor Mitch Etheridge, Larry Evans, Minister and Randy Parker, Minister.
