Gretna……Roger Lee Adkins, age 70 of Gretna died Wednesday, June 6, 2018.

Born February 21, 1948 in Danville, he was a son of the late James Howard Adkins and Edith Gibson Adkins.  Mr. Adkins was a member of Greenpond Baptist Church. He graduated from Chatham High School and was a security guard.  He enjoyed taking care of his parents and taking them to Blue Grass Music concerts.  He also enjoyed playing the guitar and riding the back roads near his house.

He is survived by aunts and cousins.

Memorial graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Greenpond Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Mike Allen.
