Gretna……..Robert (Bobby) Rex Nuckolds, age 74 of Gretna died Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at his residence surrounded by family after fighting Cancer for 14 years.
Born April 26, 1940 in Bedford County he was a son of the late Rex Coleman Nuckolds and Helen Johnson Nuckolds. Mr. Nuckolds was a retired mechanic at Schrader-Bridgeport. He enjoyed farming and loved his kids and grandkids.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Kathy Bragg Nuckolds of the residence; one son, Timothy R. Nuckolds of Madison Heights; three daughters, Priscilla Nuckolds and her significant other, Kenny McCrary of Lynchburg, Barbara Thomas and her husband, Ralph of Gretna, Becky Rowland and her significant other, Tony Rowland of Gretna; two sisters, Frances Bigart of Wirtz and Janet Rainey of Bedford; two sister-in-laws, Aleta Gerchak and her husband, Dave of South Carolina and Jane Bragg of Lynch Station; seven grandchildren, Charlotte Rowland, Cody Rowland, Raven Leonard and her significant other, Travis Guthrie, Samantha Witt, T.J. Witt, Courtney Franklin, and Shean P. Hammond; one great grandchild, Stormy Franklin and three special nephews, Henry Lee Lopez, Michael Lopez and Paul Lopez.
Memorial services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Allison Jackson.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2 to 3 pm at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
