Hurt………Robert "Bud" Thomas Kinsler, age 90 of Hurt died Sunday, September 1, 2024 at his residence.

Born October 4, 1933 in Halifax County, he was a son of the late Milam Lee Kinsler and Mattie Tuck Kinsler Puryear. He was predeceased by three brothers, Milam Kinsler, Jr., Jimmie Kinsler and Butch Kinsler; and one sister, Patricia Haskins. Bud was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from Burlington Industries. He was a member of Motley Baptist Church. Bud was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and enjoyed riding through the country looking for wildlife, especially bears.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Doris Ferguson Kinsler three sons, Robert W. "Bobby" Kinsler (Darlene) of Hurt, William "Billy" Kinsler (Jennifer) of Gretna and Michael Kinsler (Beverly) of Gretna; his beloved granddaughter, Elizabeth Kinsler; and his sweet Lollipop "Poot" (cat).

Memorial services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at Motley Baptist Church by Pastor Mitch Etheridge. Military Honors by American Legion Altavista Post 36 and Gretna Post 232.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 9, 2024 at the residence of his son and daughter-in-law, Robert W. "Buddy" Kinsler and Darlene Kinsler, 173 Perdue Drive, Hurt, and one hour prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at Motley Baptist Church.

The family suggest memorial donations be made to Motley Baptist Church.
