Robert took his journey home to be with his lord and savior Jesus Christ on September 22,2021 at Rocky Mount Carilion, due to Covid complications.

Robert was loved by so many. He is remembered by his great sense of humor and contagious smile. He was a family man and loved his family and friends more than anything. He was a truck driver for over 20 years. His passion in life was classic cars which he loved sharing working on and talking about with his kids, grandkids, and friends. Robert had the kindest heart and helped many people. He was a Christian man and believed firmly in the power of prayer. His favorite bible verse was John 3:16 "For god so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life".

Robert was born November 11, 1964 at Lynchburg General hospital to the late Essie "Katherine" Hankins. He is also preceded in death by his two sons Timothy Lee Barbour and Carl "Dylan" Barbour.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Barbour of the home. Son, Corrie Barbour (Toby) of Ridgeway. Daughter, Ciji Barbour of Ridgeway. Two Very Special Grandsons, Gabriel Barbour of the home and Colton Barbour of Ridgeway. Two stepsons, Joseph Clark (Amanda) of Bassett and Paul Clark of Bassett. 9 bonus grandchildren, Brianna, Landen, Carissa, Julian, Joseph, Ilijah, Jackson, Ember, and Ella Rose. Sister, Gloria Hankins of Danville. Two Very Special Aunts, Joyce Sowers and Margaret Harris. Uncle, Roger Barbour. Cousins that were more like siblings to him his whole life, Amanda "Lucky", Little Angie, JR, Jeffrey "Tater", Benny, and Debra.

Funeral Services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Pastor Danny Adkins.  Burial will follow in Gretna Burial Park.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2 to 3 p.m. at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
