Gretna…….Larry Robert (Robbie) Betterton, age 22 of 1446 Brushy Mountain Road, Gretna went to be with the Lord Monday, February 17, 2014 at UNC Hospital.
Born December 15, 1991 in Lynchburg he was a son of Larry Walter Betterton and Tammy B. Betterton of Gretna. He was predeceased by paternal grandparents, Robert W. Betterton and Elvin R. Betterton. Robbie was a shift manager at Subway in Tight Squeeze, VA and had earned his Associate Degree in Business Administration from DCC in 2012. He was an avid hunter and golfer; and enjoyed all sports and music.
In addition to his parents he is survived by two sisters, Joanie B. Davis and her husband, Winston of Chatham, and Jennifer B. Taylor and her fiancé, Jeremy Breedlove of Hurt; maternal grandparents, Larry and Joan Conner of Gretna; aunts and uncles, Roger and Pam Betterton, Kelley and Donna Dickson, and George and Annalee Bondurant; nieces and nephews, Logan Davis, Abigail Breedlove, Shane Davis, Brayden Breedlove, and Leah Taylor; and many other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Midway Baptist Church by Rev. Lynn Marstin, Chris Stanley, Minister, and Jason Edwards. Burial will follow in Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
