Hurt…….Richard Hunter Austin, age 78 of Hurt died Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born December 8, 1942 in Charleston, WV, he was a son of the late Andrew Yates Austin, Jr. and Barbara Hasset Hunter Austin.  Mr. Austin was an Elder with the Rainbow Family.   He was a carpenter, musician, and traveler.

He is survived by one son, Hunter Austin and wife, Emily of Springfield, Missouri; one daughter, Amanda Deguair of Oahu, Hawaii; one brother, Andy Austin and wife, Jean of Atlanta, Georgia; three grandchildren, Emma Deguair, Lauren Deguair, and Jack Austin; two nephews, Will Austin, and Yates Austin; and many other friends and family.

Per his request there will be no public service.
