Chatham……Rebecca "Becky" Dalton Motley, age 79 of Chatham died Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born August 5, 1944 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Ray Wilson Dalton and Maxine Slote Dalton.  Mrs. Motley was a member of Oak Grove Christian Church and she was the owner/operator of Hyland Exxon.  She never met a stranger; and loved people, antique store shopping, and flowers, especially azaleas.

She is survived by her husband, Harold Guston Motley of the residence; two sons, Eric Motley and wife, Tammy of Chatham, and Matthew Motley and wife, Stacy of Axton; one daughter, Donna Raye Motley and husband, Greg of Chatham; one brother, Roger Dalton and wife, Pat of Gretna; seven grandchildren, Benjamin Motley, Brittany Motley, Natalie Ferguson and husband, Ricky, Nathanael Motley and fiancée, Breana Karr, Jacie Lewis, Macie Merricks, and Skyler Merricks; three great-grandchildren, Aiden Eli, Avery Lanier, and Nova Grace; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 14, 2024 at Oak Grove Christian Church Cemetery by Mike Waters, Minister.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of Eric and Tammy Motley.
