Rebecca Elliott Brumfield

Gretna……….Rebecca Elliott Brumfield, age 70 of Gretna died Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Lynchburg General Hospital.
Born May 17, 1942 in Cumberland County, she was a daughter of Christine Yeatts Elliott of Altavista and the late Leland Elliott. She was predeceased by her husband, Roney Elmo Brumfield. Mrs. Brumfield was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church and was a retired employee of Capps Shoe Corp. She enjoyed fishing.
In addition to her mother she is survived by two sons, Terry Brumfield of Gretna and Tony Brumfield and his wife, Kathy of Verona; one daughter, Sandra Nichols of Gretna; one brother, James Elliott of Davenport, FL; three sisters, her twin, Mavis Holloway of Gretna, Doris Short of Hurt, and Barbara Watson of South Hill; four grandchildren, Scott Emerson, Jenny Emerson, Toni Brumfield and Brian Dalton; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at the Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Bobby Brumfield. Burial will follow in Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden.
The family will receive friends 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, July 16, 2012 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of her son, Terry Brumfield, 816 Blue Ridge Drive, Gretna.
