Gretna……….Marion Ray "Cowboy" Miller, age 74 of Gretna died Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born June 11, 1947 in Lynchburg, he was a son of the late Junior Mark Miller and Dennie Roach Blanks.  He was predeceased by his wife, Joyce Marie Blanks Miller; and a brother, Troy Miller.  Ray was a member of Pittsville Pentecostal Holiness Church and he was a former employee of Klopman Mills.  He enjoyed fishing, yard sales, mowing, and working on lawn mowers.

He is survived by two step-sons, Billy Myers and wife, Delores of Hurt, and Ronnie Myers of Chatham; two sisters, Shirley Anderson of Hurt, and Tammy Leach and husband, Danny of Gretna; Ray's companion, Shirley Pendergrass of Gretna; two step-grandchildren, Jonathan Myers of North Carolina, and Jason Myers and wife, Renea of Gretna; one step-great-grandchild, Jett Myers; and special friends, Robert Dunn, and Charlie Atkins.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Pittsville Pentecostal Holiness Church by Pastor Thomas Lee and Robert Dunn.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Pittsville Pentecostal Holiness Church.
