Gretna……….Lillard Ray Dalton, age 60 Gretna died Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born January 16, 1961 in Pittsylvania County, he was a son of the late Moncie Gerald Dalton and Clarice Dalton.  Ray was a supervisor with BGF Industries for over 30 years.  He was a Jack of all trades; and he loved spending time with his grandchildren, mowing grass, and woodworking.

He is survived by one daughter, Kimberly Davis and husband, Robert of Amherst; two grandchildren, Hunter Davis, and Harley Davis; numerous nieces and nephews; a special niece, Melissa Poteat; two brothers, Gerald Dalton and wife, Connie of Gretna, and McKinley Dalton and wife, Delores of Gretna; and five sisters, Brenda Doss and husband, Ronnie of Gretna, Bonnie Franklin and husband, David of Gretna, Lottie Manning and husband, Ike of Gretna, Glenda Osborne and husband, Danny Doss of Gretna, and Lynn Dalton and husband, Mark of Gretna.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 15, 2021 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Pastor Matthew Speck.  Burial will follow in Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
