Chatham……….William Randolph "Ran" Witcher, age 83 of Chatham died Thursday, October 17, 2024 at his residence.

Born December 2, 1940 he was a son of the late William Mack Witcher and Louella "Lady" Taylor Witcher.  He was predeceased by three brothers, Bennett Witcher, Larry Witcher and Malcolm "Mickey" Witcher;  and one sister, Edith Gordon. Mr. Witcher was a member of Sheva Church of Christ. Ran loved farming, cows, and being around people. Ran knew everybody and was always "carrying on" with people everywhere he went.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Farmer Witcher of the residence; two sons, Addison "Dude" Witcher of Norway and Vincent Witcher of Chatham; two daughters, Joy Taylor of Texas and Jan Wilson of Texas; one brother, Homer Witcher and wife, Therese of Daleville; one grandson, Michael Taylor; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 21, 2024 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Ron Voss, Minister and Larry Owen, Minister. Burial will follow in the Witcher Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, October 20, 2024 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
