Hurt……….Ramsey Thomas Meadows, age 87 of Hurt died Tuesday, January 19, 2021.

Born April 21, 1933 in Pittsylvania County, he was a son of the late Berkley Ollie Meadows and Rena Maude Shelton Meadows.  He was predeceased by two sons, Rex Thomas Meadows and Dwight Berckley Meadows.  Mr. Meadows was an Army Veteran of Korea and he retired from General Electric.  He enjoyed fishing, car repair, and working outdoors.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy English Meadows of the residence; two daughters, Darlene Stratton and husband, Daniel of Concord, and Stephanie Crist and husband, Rusty of Madison Heights; two step-children, Mary Mason of Monroe, and Jesse Jones of Hurt; three sisters, Catherine Shelton of Gretna, Evelyn Walters of Gretna and Barbara "Bobby" Amos of Gretna; a daughter-in-law, Debbie Meadows Perry and husband, Bo of Rustburg; four grandchildren, Adam Stratton and wife, Alexa, Angel Moody and husband, Bryan, Lindsey Meadows, R.J. Crist, and Alayna Crist; and four great-grandchildren, Embri, Elaina, Bryson, and Berkley.

Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 22, 2021 at Gretna Burial Park by Rev. R.G. Rowland.
