Gretna……….Ramona Huffman Ferguson, age 87 of Gretna went home to be with her Lord and Savior, surrounded by loved ones on Monday, November 10, 2025. Though deeply missed on earth, we rejoice in knowing she is now in the presence of our Savior.

Born March 29, 1938 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Wilford Grayson Huffman, Sr. and Madeline Hines Huffman. She was predeceased by a brother, Buddy Huffman; and a brother-in-law, Ray Shannon.   Ramona was a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church and retired from General Electric.  After retirement she became a caregiver for many people over the years.  She enjoyed playing Rook, doing crossword puzzles, and spending time with family, especially her granddaughter.  Ramona was a wonderful mom, nana, sister, aunt and friend.

She is survived by one son, Michael Ferguson of Madison Heights; two sisters, Nancy Shannon of Gretna and Rhonda Milam and husband, Ryland of Gretna; one granddaughter, Elana Ferguson of Gretna; and numerous nieces, nephew, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 14, 2025 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Bobby Brumfield.  Burial will follow in Gretna Burial Park.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 14, 2025 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence, 457 Dewberry Road, Gretna.
