Gretna…….Phillip Edward Thomas, age 47 of 23964 US Highway 29, Gretna, died Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Born July 3, 1964 in Danville, he was a son of Linda Simpson Thomas of the residence and the late Julian Edward Thomas. Mr. Thomas was a truck driver. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and riding around.
In addition to his mother he is survived by one son, Dustin Ray Mahan of Gretna; one daughter, Kasey Lynne Thomas of Chatham; one sister, Darlene Roach, and a very special brother-in-law, Phillip Roach of Chatham; one granddaughter, Lacey Jo Mulero; one nephew, Dakota Roach of Chatham; and a very special friend, Shirley Hall of Rustburg.
Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 27, 2012 at Liberty Memorial Cemetery by Pastor Kendall Smith.
The family will receive friends at the residence.
