Gretna…..Percy Gold "P.G." Dalton, Jr., age 84 of Gretna died Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Lynchburg General Hospital.
Born October 26, 1931 in Pittsylvania County he was a son of the late Percy Gold Dalton, Sr. and Lannie Shields Dalton. Mr. Dalton was predeceased by three brothers, James Curtis Dalton, Emmett "Bully" Dalton, Sr. and Claiborne "Rooster" Dalton; and a sister, Elsie Bosiger. He was a member of Greenfield Baptist Church, Georges Creek Hunt Club and was a former employee with Mecklenburg. He enjoyed working, fishing, deer hunting and working his deer hounds.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia D. Dalton of the residence; one son, Ricky Dalton and his wife, Chris of Gretna; one sister, Lucille Crawley of South Hill; two grandchildren, Whitney and Candice and one great-grandchild, Josiah.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 30, 2015 at Greenfield Baptist Church by Rev. R.G. Rowland. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
