Hurt………Penny Lynn Arthur, age 54 of Hurt died Sunday, December 18, 2022 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born June 2, 1968 in Lynchburg, she was a daughter of Curtis W. Arthur, Sr. and special friend, Anita Stevens of Hurt and mother, Pat Hopkins of Gretna.  Penny was a secretary with Expert Aluminum.  She loved animals, traveling, painting; and making candy at Christmas time and giving out the candy to everybody.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by one brother, Curtis W. Arthur, Jr. of Hurt; one nephew, Curtis W. Arthur, III; and one niece, Shiane Nicole Arthur.

Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Jason Andrews and Pastor Ronnie Simpson.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of her father, Curtis W. Arthur, Sr., 4900 Shula Drive, Hurt, VA 24563.
