Hurt………Peggy Louise Tuck Barbour, age 63 of Hurt died Sunday, September 19, 2021 at her residence.

Born September 4, 1958 in Roxboro, NC, she was a daughter of Mary Elizabeth Ward Epperson of Altavista and the late Bernard Wagner Tuck, Sr.  She was predeceased by two brothers, Bernard Tuck, Jr., and Cecil Tuck.  Mrs. Barbour was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and she retired from Mail America.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren, going to yard sales; and watching game shows and wrestling on television

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Jimmy Lee Barbour of the residence; two daughters, Mary B. Thurman and husband, James of Hurt, and Jennifer B. Mann and husband, Bobby of Chatham; a special daughter, Janet Thurman and friend, Phillip Hall of Hurt; two brothers, Early Tuck of Altavista, and Clyde Tuck of Altavista; one sister, Bonnie Keatts and husband, Donnie of Hurt; six grandchildren, Jonathan Thurman and wife, Savannah, Jesse Thurman, Thomas Thurman and friend, Brittany Hamilton, Lori Mann, Robert Mann, and James Mann; four great-grandchildren and two more great-grandchildren on the way.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Pastor Tim Lane.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
