Altavista…….Peggy Bolling Sisk, age 82, of Altavista passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at home with family.
Born September 2, 1934 in Bedford County she was a daughter of the late Woodrow Bolling and Mary Newman Bolling. She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years Isaac Lee Sisk, Jr. Mrs. Sisk was an active member of Penuel Baptist Church.
She worked all her life, in several occupations from Altavista Labelweave to General Electric, to having her own carpet and drapery business, and finally, with her husband at Bolling Distributors (home of WB Tackle). Peggy is perhaps best known and loved for the trips she planned with friends and loved ones, usually driving the bus, most often with the Joy Club from Penuel Baptist.
Peggy is survived by her son, Robert B. Sisk and wife, Susan, of Chapel Hill, NC and her brother, Paul Bolling and wife, Grace of North Fort Myers, FL, her grandchildren, Samuel Sisk, Julia Sisk, Jackie Bolling and wife, Meghan and James Bolling and wife, Meagan, a nephew, Gary Bolling and wife, Tina; and numerous other wonderful nieces and nephews in the Bolling and Sisk families.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Penuel Baptist Church by Rev. Carlton Gunter and Rev. Carl E. Burger. Burial will follow in Altavista Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Penuel Baptist Church.
