Hurt……..Pauline Keatts Johnson, age 92 of Hurt died Friday, July 2, 2021 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born January 6, 1929 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Leffie Monroe Keatts, Sr. and Mollie Hudson Keatts.  She was predeceased by four brothers, Floyd Keatts, Everett Keatts, Leffie Keatts, Jr., and Bobby Keatts; and one sister, Martha Keatts.  Pauline was of the Baptist faith and she retired from General Electric.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Ramsey Johnson of Gretna; three sons, Leffie Rice and wife, Patricia of Evington, Timothy Rice and wife, Vicky of Altavista, and Michael Rice of Hurt, two daughters, Mollie Clingempeel and husband, Norman of Monroe, and Florence Brummett and husband, Larry of Lynch Station; nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Friday, July 9, 2021 at Union Chapel Community Church by Pastor Chad Miller.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or to the charity of your choice.
