Lynchburg……….Pauline Esther Smith, age 81 of Lynchburg died Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Lynchburg General Hospital.
Born February 4, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY she was a daughter of the late Jacob Tragarz and Rebecca Borenholc Tragarz. Mrs. Smith was predeceased by her husband, Elee Trinkle Smith. She was of the Methodist Faith and was a home maker. Mrs. Smith enjoyed cooking and traveling.
She is survived by one son, Barry Smith and his wife Kim of Altavista; two daughters, Sheryl Saunders and her husband, George of Lynchburg, and Linda Lewis and her husband, Thomas of Hurt; one brother, Harry Tragar of Long Island, NY; one sister, Goldie Frons of Las Vegas, NV; four grandchildren, Michael Ramsey, Paul Marco, IV, Dillon Smith and Cody Smith; and two great-grandchildren, Timothy Saunders and Lindy Ramsey.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 30, 2012 at the Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Dennis Nichols. Burial will follow in Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 P.M. Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at her residence 3765 Lee Jackson Highway, Lynchburg where she resided the last 13 years of her life with her daughter and son-in-law, Sheryl and George Saunders, and at the residence of her daughter, Linda Lewis, 837 Highway View Road, Hurt.
