Hurt……….Paul Leslie "Les" Moore, age 77 of Hurt died Friday, January 8, 2021 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born October 12, 1943 in Pittsylvania County, he was a son of the late David Crockett Moore and Missouri Bowen Moore.  He was predeceased by his wife, Thelma Shelton Keesee Moore; two sons, Kenny Wayne Moore, and Rodney Dale Moore; an infant son; one brother, Davey Lee Moore, Sr.; two step-grandchildren, and one step-great-grandchild.  Mr. Moore was a member of Summersett Baptist Church and he retired from BGF after 35 years of service.  He loved his dog, Cujo; and he enjoyed hunting, fishing; and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by one son, Timmy Moore of Phenix; one daughter, Annette Shelton of Gretna; three step-sons, Curtis Keesee, Jr. and wife, Sharon of Hurt, Mike Keesee, Sr. of Hurt, and Mark Keesee, Sr. and wife, Kim of Altavista; one step-daughter, Penny Ridgeway and husband, Roger of Hurt; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, and eight step-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Summersett Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Jason Andrews.

The family suggests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
