Hurt…..Paul Elmer Miller, age 85 of Hurt died Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the Gretna Health and Rehab Center.
Born June 28, 1930 in Glendale, AZ he was the son of the late Elmer J. Miller and Edna Josephine Staley Miller. He was predeceased by his wife, Merline Ivorita Mack Miller and a sister, Mary J. Spencer. Mr. Miller was a minister in the Wesleyan Church for over 65 years and taught school for 18 years. He did missionary work in South Africa for 10 years; and also started and managed a daycare. He loved to sing and had a beautiful baritone voice. Mr. Miller also published two books.
He is survived by three sons, Steve Miller and his wife, Lynn of Hurt, Larry Miller and his wife, Annette of Central, SC, and Daniel "Dan" Miller and his wife, Rebecca of New Port Richey, FL; one daughter, Connie M. Gulling and her husband, Lyle of Seattle, WA; four brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law and several cousins; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
