Hurt……….Patti Marie Adkins, age 55 of Hurt, died Saturday, November 20, 2021 at her residence.

Born March 29, 1966 she was a daughter of Ola Marie Barbour Adkins of Gretna and the late Louis Adkins. She was also predeceased by a great-nephew, Jasper Cook. Patti was a member of Concord United Methodist Church and worked for VDOT. She loved to travel, watch T.V. and was a collector of memorabilia, especially the Wizard of Oz and Gone With The Wind.

She is survived by one brother, David Adkins and wife, Betty of Chatham; one sister, Debra Ferrell and friend, Steve Montgomery of Gretna; three nieces, Melody Cook and husband, Robby of Penhook, Patty Jo Overby of Midland, NC and Kayla Newton-Foster and wife, Krista of Danville; and two great-nephews, Riggins Cook and Kaspian Cook.

Memorial Services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Lynn Marstin.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial donations be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Centra Hospice and caregiver Tracee Luttrell for their care and to her special friends, Kirk and Marie Gibson, Kenda Jacobs, Julie Kelley, Judy Hicks, Debra Wood, Ginger Ramsey, Polly Rigney and numerous other close friends for all of their love and support.
