Hurt……….Patsy Fitzgerald Queen, age 77 of 262 Simpson Drive, Hurt went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, January 22, 2017.
Born on February 11, 1939 in Pittsylvania County, she was the daughter of the late George Thomas Fitzgerald and Ella Rowland Fitzgerald. She was also predeceased by a son, Clyde Queen Jr., and a sister, Melba Barbour. Mrs. Queen was a member of Motley Baptist Church; and enjoyed reading, watching T.V. and being a homemaker. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was the loving wife of Clyde Queen of the residence for the past 58 years. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Martha (Dave) Martin of Hurt and Laurie Witt of Collinsville; five grandchildren Justin Martin, Rachel (Matt) Klumpp, Sarah Beth (Jake) Davis, Jeremiah Witt, and Charley Inman; a sister Frances (Barney) Shelhorse, a sister-in-law Earline (Paul) Thompson and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Gretna Burial Park by Pastor Mitch Etheridge.
The family will receive friends at the residence.
