Chatham……...Patsy Ann Haskins Rowland, age 86 of Chatham died Monday, August 12, 2024 at Gretna Health and Rehab Center.

Born January 1, 1938 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Herbert Gilmore Haskins and Edith Conner Haskins.  She was predeceased by her husband, Luther James "Luke" Rowland; one sister, Cathy Haskins; and three brothers, Bernard Haskins, Leonard Haskins and Neal Haskins.  Mrs. Rowland was a member of Oak Grove Christian Church and she retired from Schrader-Bridgeport.  She was a hard working woman and enjoyed farming.

She is survived by three sons, Victor Hudson and wife, Shelia of Altavista, Paul Rigney and wife, Shannon of Chatham and Mark Rowland, Sr. and wife, Kimberly of Gretna; one daughter, Donna Hedrick and significant other, Larry Carr of Gretna; two brothers, Kenneth Haskins and wife, Christine of Chatham and G. Wayne Haskins and wife, Eleanor of Chatham; two sisters, Helen Roach and husband, Roy of Chatham and Hazel Roach of Gretna; seven grandchildren, Anna Rigney, April Berger and husband, John, Laura Cook and husband, Charles, Emily Tyler and husband, Charlie, Dean Rowland and wife, Katy, Sonya Furguson and husband, Ray and Eric Douthat and wife, Margo; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 15, 2024 at Oak Grove Christian Church by Mike Waters, Minister and Rev. R.G. Rowand.  Burial will follow in Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Gretna Health and Rehab, Dr. Eric Kenny and to the staff at Intravene Infusion Center in Danville for their love and care.
