Gretna……….Patricia "Pat" Updike Connor, age 77 of Gretna died Friday, January 19, 2018 at her residence.
Born December 20, 1940 in Lynchburg, she was a daughter of the late Herbert Norman Updike and Frances Belle Haymes Updike. She was predeceased by her husband, Clyde Thomas "C.T." Connor, Jr.; one daughter, Carla Jean Connor; and one brother, Roger Updike. Mrs. Connor was a member at Greenfield Baptist Church and sang in the choir for over 50 years. She was a former office manager with Gretna Pulpwood Yard and a former member of the Gretna Rescue Squad. Pat enjoyed flowers, adult coloring books, camping and horses.
She is survived by three daughters, Carmen Connor Holman of NC, Sherri Connor and friend, Don of Gretna and Cristy Henderson of Dry Fork; four grandchildren, Rodney Henderson and wife, Lori, Rosa Henderson, Craig Burgess and Jessica Burgess; three great-grandchildren; and a special companion, Jennifer Crews whom she thought of as a daughter.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 22, 2018 at Greenfield Baptist Church by Rev. R.G. Rowland. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 22, 2018 at Greenfield Baptist Church and other times will be at the residence.
