Gretna……….Alice Paige Hite, age 66 of Gretna passed away Wednesday March 19, 2025 at Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born January 26, 1959 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Nancie Yeatts Allgood Oltarzewski (Dale) and the late Garland Rex Allgood. She was predeceased by a sister-in-law Yvonne Allgood.

Paige graduated from Gretna Senior High School in 1977.  She enjoyed cooking, especially baking.  She retired from Allied Universal Security Services as a security guard at Smith Mountain Dam.

She is survived by a daughter Christy Betterton Miles of Gretna; two sisters, Tracie Shelton and husband, Steve of College Grove TN and Debra Waters and husband, Richard of Blairs; a brother, Mark Allgood of Climax; four grandchildren,  Destiny Contreras-Ramos of Franklin, TN and Allie Contreras–Ramos of College Grove TN, Serenity Miles of Gretna and PFC/E-3 Zander Miles and wife Ashley of El Paso TX.  She is also survived by nieces Courtney (Alexander) McMeen of Nashville TN,  Tamara Klein (Ray) of Lincolnton NC, Jahna Waters of Danville, VA; a nephew Jake Waters of Blairs, VA; an aunt, Margurette "Maggie" Angell and husband, Richard of Roanoke; several cousins, including a special cousin, Christine Schwitzerlett;  and a special friend, Tammy Moorefield.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Steve Shelton.  Burial will follow in the Yeatts Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
