Hurt…..Owen Junior Barrett, age 68 of 2269 Grit Road, Hurt died Saturday, November 21, 2015 at his residence.
Born May 18, 1947 in Pittsylvania County he was a son of the late Charlie Bennett Barrett and Dolly Lee Thompson Barrett. He was predeceased by a brother, Hollis Barrett. Junior was a farmer. He enjoyed riding his bicycle and watching old TV shows.
He is survived by two sisters, Janie Clay of Gretna and Lois Compton of Hurt; nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Mulberry Baptist Church Cemetery by Pastor Tim Lane.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
