Gretna…….Otey Harris Kelley II, age 80 of Gretna died Monday, May 2, 2022 at Chatham Health and Rehab Center.

Born August 18, 1941 in Pittsylvania County, he was a son of the late Wilbur Oscar Kelley, Sr. and Ava Mae Bennett Kelley.  He was predeceased by his wife, Anita Boles Kelley; and one brother, Wilbur Kelley, Jr.  Mr. Kelley was a member of Straightstone Baptist Church.  He was a farmer and a retired School Bus Driver with Pittsylvania County Schools.  Mr. Kelley was a Lifetime Member of Renan Volunteer Fire Department and he enjoyed hunting.

He is survived by two sons, Otey Kelley III and wife, Sandy of Gretna, and Charles Kelley and wife, Kathy of Gretna; three brothers, Gayre Kelley of Gretna, Michael Kelley of Gretna, and Frank Kelley and wife, Donna of Gretna; two grandchildren, Benjamin Neal of Gladys, and Cheryl Kelly of Gretna; and five great-grandchildren, Savanah, Christopher, James, Sarah, and River.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Straightstone Baptist Church by Rev. Greg Hedrick.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
