Ora Lee Roberts

Hurt......Ora Lee Roberts, age 91, of Hurt died peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 12, 2010.
Born September 4, 1919 in Pittsylvania County she was a daughter of the late Robert Thomas Atkinson and Annie Trent Atkinson. She was predeceased by her husband, William Roberts, and a great-grandson, Michael Faris. She was a member of Monte Vista Baptist Church, and was a retired seamstress. Mrs. Roberts loved quilting, flowers, cooking, and gardening.
She is survived by one son, James Roberts and his wife, Juanita of Hurt; one daughter, Nancy James and her husband, Frank of Hurt; three grandchildren, Floyd (Monk) Irby, Jr. and his wife, Nancy of Lynchburg, Jackie Sarver and her husband Steve of Lynchburg, and Kay Cox and her husband, Keith of Danville; and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 14, 2010 at Edge Hill Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Latta Terry and Rev. Michael Pond.
The family will receive friends at the residence of her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Frank James, 1412 Grit Road, Hurt.
