Sandy Level......Isaac Nelson Watson, age 87 of 10650 West Gretna Road, Sandy Level died Thursday, December 30, 2010 at his residence.
Born August 16, 1923 in Sandy Level he was a son of the late William Hiley Watson and Rosa Cook Watson Blair. He was predeceased by three brothers, Espen Watson, Ferrell Watson, and Odell Watson; a nephew, Dale Watson; and a great-nephew, Jason Watson. Mr. Watson was an Army Veteran of World War II, a member of Berea Baptist Church in Auburndale, FL, and attended Sandy Level Baptist Church. He was a member of Southland Masonic Lodge #256 in Lakeland, FL, and a member of the Egypt Shrine Temple in Tampa, FL. Mr. Watson was a truck driver for Coca Cola Foods (Minute Made) for 25 years.
He is survived by his wife of more than 64 years, Muriel Shelton Watson of the residence; two daughters, Susie Watson Brower and her husband, Ray of Mt. Dora, FL, and Nancy Watson Orgaz and her husband, Stuart of Winter Park, FL; a grandson, Kyle Shiver of Zellwood, FL; a great-niece, Sandra English and her husband, Al of Gretna; two great-great-nephews, J.D. English of Gretna, and Jason English of Gretna; and a sister-in-law, Ruth Watson of Chatham.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday, January 2, 2011 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Dr. Kendell Smith. Burial with Masonic Rites by Carter Lodge #323 will follow in Liberty Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Saturday, January 1, 2011 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home, and other times will be at the residence.
