Gretna……Nellie Creasy Adams, age 90 of Gretna died Sunday, June 20, 2021 at Gretna Health and Rehab Center.

Born October 15, 1930 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Lindsey Walton Creasy and Cabell Shelton Creasy.  She was predeceased by her husband, Percy Smith Adams, Sr.; five step-brothers, Robert Creasy, Raleigh Creasy, George Creasy, Daniel Creasy, and Charlie Creasy; and two step-sisters, Annie Martin, and Bertha Willis.  Mrs. Adams was a member of Anderson Memorial United Methodist Church and she retired from Sara Lee.  She loved animals, working with flowers, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by one son, Percy Smith "Smitty" Adams, Jr. and wife, Dana of Gretna; three daughters, Susan A. Loyd and husband, Jeff of Clover, SC, Martha A. Abbott and husband, Jeff of Gretna, and Laura A. Rowland of Gretna; six grandchildren, Jonah Loyd, Lindsey Meadows, Zachary Adams, Jonathan Adams, Trevor Adams, and Kayla Adams; six great-grandchildren, Lucas, Lawson, Layton, Lainey, Hadleigh, and Hollie; and two special friends, Glenda Dalton and Paulette Fretwell.

Graveside services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at Gretna Burial Park by Rev. R.G. Rowland and Rev. Douglas Gunsalus.

The family will receive friends at the residence.
