Hurt..…..Nannie Belle Hunt Henderson, age 89 of Hurt died Friday, June 3, 2016 at Stratford Health Center in Danville.
Born April 2, 1927 in Halifax County she was a daughter of the late Memory Ryland Hunt and Effie Arthur Hunt. She was predeceased by her husband, Adna Henry Henderson, Jr.; four brothers, Roy Hunt, Clarence Hunt, Russell Hunt and Carrol Hunt; and a sister, Ida Elizabeth Hunt. She was a member of Central Baptist Church and retired from Burlington Industries after 30 years of employment. She was a member of Madelyn Key Seniors Group and enjoyed cooking and gardening.
She is survived by one son, Larry Henderson and wife, Linda of Burlington, NC; two brothers, Irvin Hunt and wife, Doris of Nathalie and Winfree Hunt of Nathalie; one grandson, Mike Henderson and wife, Kate of Charleston, SC; a sister-in-law, Rubye Hunt of Gretna; and a brother-in-law, Orin Henderson and wife, Ora of Madison Heights.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Nick Jones. Burial will follow in Altavista Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home.
