Gretna…….Nannie Wilmoth Andrews, age 83 of Gretna died Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at her residence.

Born February 7, 1935 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Charles Mark Andrews and Alice Belle Davis Andrews.  She was predeceased by four brothers, R.L. Andrews, Ivan Andrews, William Andrews, Sr., and Oren Andrews. Nannie was a member of Zion United Methodist Church where she served as church treasurer for over fifty years.  She was also a former Sunday School teacher and sang in the choir.  She was a school teacher with the Pittsylvania County School System for 44 years.  Nannie enjoyed her flowers, traveling, singing and visiting with friends and family.

She is survived by seven nieces and nephews, Alice Showalter, Mae Belle Hogan and Harry, Dianne Meadows and Tommy, Kathy Andrews and Ken Holley, Dr. Sandra Andrews, Wyatt Andrews and Louis Grue and Garvin Andrews and Rhonda; a sister-in-law, Cathleen Andrews; eleven great-nieces and great-nephews; and 14 great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Zion United Methodist Church by Pastor David Edinger, Rev. Harold Thornton and Ramsey Taylor.  Burial will follow in the Andrews Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 12, 2018 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
