Hurt……….Nancy Adkins Stone, age 77 of Hurt died Monday, May 25, 2020 at Liberty Ridge Health and Rehab in Lynchburg.

Born January 12, 1943 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Moncie Willard Adkins and Maggie Barber Adkins.  She was predeceased by her husband, Joe Robert Stone; and two sisters, Katherine Dowdy and Elizabeth Boggs.  She was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church and she retired from Klopman Mills.  She enjoyed gardening, watching T.V., and drinking coffee with her neighbor.

She is survived by one son, Marty Stone and wife, Melisa of Evington; two daughters, Robin Ferguson of Lynch Station and Renea Rowles of Bedford; one brother, Wesley Adkins and wife, Carolyn of Gretna; a sister, Joyce Bennett of Gretna; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 28, 2020 at Altavista Memorial Park by Rev. Brady Willis.
