Gretna………Nancy Yeatts Pickral, age 82 of Gretna died Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born February 14, 1939 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Lee Plunkett Yeatts and Nannie McCrickard Yeatts.  She was predeceased by her husband, H. Edgar Pickral, Jr.; three sisters, Shirley McDaniel, Betty Phelps and Phyllis Philpott; and her beloved dog, "LuLu". Mrs. Pickral was an active member of Gretna Christian Church and a former supervisor at Sara Lee. She dearly loved her church; enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by one son, Timmy Pickral and wife, Gloria of Gretna; two daughters, Deborah P. Melton of Forest and Heather P. Rowland and husband, Charlie of Gretna; two sisters, Faye Ferguson and husband, Robert of Danville and Patsy Mills of Danville; five grandchildren, Brian Melton and wife, Amanda, Brandon Melton and wife, Suketa, Malorie Taylor and husband, Tyler, Nathan Rowland and Evan Rowland; and seven great-grandchildren, Caleb, Danielle, Ethan, Bentley, Tobias, Braelynn and Blaine.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Gretna Christian Church by Lee Ashley, Minister. Burial will follow in Gretna Burial Park.

The family will receive friends at the residence of her daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Charlie Rowland, 4395 Deer View Rd. Gretna, VA 24557.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial donations be made to Gretna Christian Church.
