Altavista………Nancy Sterne Massie, age 71 of Altavista, died Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at her residence.

Born December 22, 1949 in Campbell County, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence Elwood Sterne, Sr. and Iva Dillard Sterne.  She was predeceased by her husband, Glenn Carroll Massie; and one sister, Peggy Bennett.  Mrs. Massie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Altavista and she was a former insurance agent with Altavista Insurance.

She is survived by one daughter, Tara Guill and husband, Kevin of Altavista; one brother, Lawrence Sterne, Jr. and wife, Nellie of Altavista; and one grandson, Colton Guill.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Gretna Burial Park by Rev. R.G. Rowland
