Gretna……Nancy Lee Adkins, age 88 of Gretna died Monday, January 22, 2024 at her residence.

Born June 14, 1935 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Dennis Barbour and Talmadge Nuchols Barbour.  She was predeceased by one son, Ricky Adkins; and two daughters, Brenda Adkins, and Carolyn Rowland.  Nancy enjoyed crossword puzzles, flowers, and music, especially Conway Twitty.  The most important things in Nancy's life were her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, Michael Adkins, and wife, Patricia of Gretna, and Timmy Adkins of Gretna; one daughter, Joan Barbour and friend, Jennifer Crews of Gretna; two sisters, Wayburn Osborne of Gretna, and Betty Towler of Gretna; and five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren..

Graveside services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at the Wagner Family Cemetery by James Crews.

The family will receive friends at the residence.
