Myrtle Dalton Dove

Gretna…..Myrtle Dalton Dove, age 92 of 10145 Rockford School Road, Gretna died Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at Avante at Lynchburg.
Born March 8, 1919 in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Alva Addison Dalton and Annie Hogan Dalton. She was predeceased by her husband, Floyd Millard Dove, Sr., one sister, Laura Shelton, and three brothers, Gatewood Dalton, Berkley Dalton and Edward Dalton. Mrs. Dove was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church and was a former employee of Piedmont Manufacturing. She enjoyed reading and crocheting.
She is survived by one son, Floyd Dove, Jr. of Gretna; one daughter, Betty Bryant and husband, Alvin of Lynchburg; three sisters, Vennie Worley of Gretna, Iola Gibson of Gretna and Bessie Barley of Gretna; four grandchildren, Kelly Bryant, Kevin Bryant, Magen Boone and Brian Dove; and five great-grandchildren, Kane Bryant, Luke Bryant, Amber Dove, Ethan Boone and Liam Boone.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Bobby Brumfield and Elder Marvin Brumfield. Burial will follow in the Weatherford Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, November 25, 2011 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
