Gretna…….Morris "Shorty" Wayne Moore, age 76 of Gretna, died Wednesday, February 28, 2018.

Born November 16, 1941 in Pittsylvania County, he was a son of the late Otey Lee Moore and Minnie Virginia Hedrick Moore. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret Osborne Moore; one son, Greg Moore; and two brothers, Randall Moore and Gene Moore. Mr. Moore was a member at Greenbay Christian Church and worked at Klopman Mills for 44 years. He enjoyed mowing grass, cutting wood, gardening and spending time outdoors.

He is survived by one son, Adam Wayne Moore of Lynchburg; one daughter, Penny Moore Arthur and husband, Jeremy of Chatham; two grandchildren, Ava Lacks and Jonathan Arthur; and a special friend, Jeff Osborne.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 2, 2018 at Greenbay Christian Church Cemetery by Pastor Barry Cundiff.

The family will receive friends 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of his daughter and son-in-law, Penny and Jeremy Arthur, 1672 Emery Road, Chatham.
