Lynchburg.......Morgan (Master) Wilkerson Hedrick, age 82 of Altavista died Monday, November 15, 2010 at Virginia Baptist Hospital.
Born March 9, 1928 in Rustburg, he was a son of the late John Monroe Hedrick, and Ruth Motley Hedrick. He was an Army veteran, and retired from the Lane Company. Mr. Hedrick loved gardening, fishing, and hunting. He also enjoyed working on small engines and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Eva Logwood Hedrick; two sons, Torrance Hedrick, and Michael Hedrick; two daughters, Tensil Scruggs, and Patsy Cope; two brothers, Adlay Hedrick, and Grover Hedrick; a sister, Betty Childress; three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, November 18, 2010 at his home, 1314 4th Street, Altavista by Rev. David Cash.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to his wife, Eva.
