Sandy Level……….Moncie Lee Doss, age 86 of 6557 Grassland Drive, Sandy Level died Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Born April 16, 1925 in Pittsylvania County, he was a son of the late George Thomas Doss and Liza Ann Owen Doss. He was predeceased by his wife, Kathleen Moore Doss; four brothers, James Doss, Morrison Doss, Henry Doss, and Jack Doss; and four sisters, Eula Walker, Blanch Thomas, Ora Haskins, and Mary Matherly. Mr. Doss was a member of Liberty Christian Church and was a farmer.
He is survived by one son, Douglas Doss and his wife, Diane of Sandy Level; three daughters, Virginia Belcher and her husband Wayne of Sandy Level, Brenda Jacobs and her husband David of Gretna, and Emma Jean Doss; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 18, 2011 at Liberty Memorial Cemetery by Wayne Grinnell, Minister.
The family will receive friends at the residence, 6557 Grassland Drive, Sandy Level.
