Gretna……….Mildred English Owen, age 89 of Gretna died Friday, October 8, 2021 at Centra Gretna Medical Center.

Born October 22, 1931 she was a daughter of the late Jimmy Snow English and Beulah Wilkes English. She was predeceased by her husband, Julian "Pete" Alfred Owen; two brothers, Johnny English and Rufus English; and two sisters, Elizabeth English and Eva "Relma" Gilliam. Mrs. Owen was a home maker and enjoyed working in her flower gardening. She also enjoyed watching tv and working crossword puzzles.

She is survived by one son, Jimmy Owen of Sandy Level; one daughter, Frances Falls of Gretna; three grandchildren, Pamela Davis and husband, Billy of Gretna, Jack Falls and wife, Jennifer of Gretna and Amanda Hogan and husband, Matthew of Gretna; three great-grandchildren, Benjamin Dunn and wife, Anna of Dry Fork, Emma Hogan and Steven Hogan.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 11, 2021 at the Watson Family Cemetery by Rev. R.G. Rowland.
