Hurt…….Leonard Michael "Mike" Bailess, age 65 of Hurt died Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at his residence.
Born February 2, 1951 in Lynchburg, he was a son of the late Tommy Leonard Bailess and Frances Hines Bailess Bivens. Mike was a member of the Gretna Christian Church and was a car hauler for Allied Systems out of Norfolk. He enjoyed hunting, working in the yard, cleaning and eating. Mike loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Jeannette Crawley Bailess of the residence; two sons, Michael Bailess and wife, Heidi of Hurt and Jamee Bailess and wife, Emily of Hurt; one brother, Ricky Bailess and friend, Linda of Lynchburg; one sister, Brenda Bailess of SC; five grandchildren, Jacob Bailess, Ethan Bailess, Kayden Bailess, Mallory Bailess and Sadie Bailess.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Gretna Christian Church by Lee Ashley, Minister. Burial will follow in Gretna Burial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 Friday, November 25, 2016 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
